We are Dryer Repair experts in Arlington Heights
A dryer that takes three cycles is usually not broken. It is a vent that can no longer move air, and that is a fire risk long before it is an inconvenience. We check the vent on every dryer call whatever we were booked for.
Not heating, taking three cycles, or shutting off part way through. Gas and electric, including stacked units.
Why you need Dryer Repair
If you notice any of these, it is time to call:
- Runs but does not heat
- On electric, one leg of the element or a blown thermal fuse. On gas, the igniter or the flame sensor. The same complaint, a different first measurement on each.
- Clothes still damp after a full cycle
- Airflow: a lint-loaded vent, a crushed flexible duct behind the machine, or a blocked bird screen outside.
- Shuts off part way through
- The machine protecting itself on the high limit because it cannot exhaust. Replacing the thermostat without clearing the vent puts you back here in a month.
- Squealing or rumbling while turning
- Drum rollers, the idler pulley or the rear bearing. It worsens slowly, so most people live with it far longer than they need to.
- Drum will not turn
- The belt, and on some machines the motor. A snapped belt is a same-visit repair on nearly everything we see.
- A hot smell during a cycle
- Stop using it and call. Lint against a heating element is how a dryer fire starts, and that call goes to the front of the day.
Brands we repair for Dryer Repair
Bosch, GE, KitchenAid, LG, Maytag, Miele, Samsung, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Speed Queen and every other major manufacturer.
When you call us about a dryer, the first thing that happens is a real diagnosis. A licensed technician measures, tests and reads the appliance’s own fault history before naming a part, because two very different failures often look identical from the outside and cost very different amounts.
What the visit actually involves
You are given an arrival window rather than a day of waiting in. The technician confirms the problem, quotes a flat price covering parts and labor, and only then opens anything up.
Our vans carry the parts that actually fail on this appliance, which is why most dryer repairs finish on the first visit. Anything that has to be ordered normally lands within a few business days, and we book the return slot before we leave.
Brands we repair for this appliance
We service Speed Queen, Whirlpool, Maytag, LG, Samsung and every other major brand that builds this appliance. Brand matters more than most people expect: a Speed Queen and a Samsung can present the identical problem for entirely different reasons, and the diagnostic route is different for each.
Repair or replace?
We will give you a straight answer. The threshold we work to: where a repair passes half the cost of comparable new equipment and the unit is beyond two thirds of its expected service life, replacement is usually the better spend. Below that line, and on almost any built-in or panel-ready unit, repair wins comfortably. We would rather lose the job than fit a part that will not solve the problem.
