Careers
We are hiring appliance technicians across the north suburbs and the suburbs. Applications are read by the people you would be working for.
We have been hiring heating, cooling and appliance technicians in the north suburbs since 2012, and we keep them. Two trades under one roof means steadier work through the year than a company that only sells one of them.
Why work at Fuse
- A van stocked with the parts you need to finish the job
- Steady year-round work across ten north suburban villages
- Paid training toward your Illinois license and manufacturer certification
- Routes built around two city locations, not one long drive
- Health benefits and paid time off
- A dispatcher who protects your schedule rather than overloading it
What the job actually is
In-home appliance repair across the north suburbs. You are given a route out of the Arlington Heights shop, a stocked van and an arrival window, and you are trusted to diagnose the appliance properly rather than to get through as many calls as possible.
What We Look For
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check without a conversation about it.
- The ability to work in an occupied house and explain a fault without hiding behind jargon.
- The judgement to say a repair is not worth doing, and the confidence to say it out loud.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude. EPA 608 certification helps, and we will pay for it if you do not have it yet.
How the process runs
Send the form and we read it. If the role fits, someone calls you within a few working days for a short conversation, then a longer one in person. We do not leave applications unanswered.
