Problems we see most on LG
- No cooling at all Either the linear compressor or the inverter board driving it. The board is checked first, since it accounts for the great majority of these calls.
- UE showing repeatedly The rotor bolt, the suspension, or the hall sensor on a direct-drive machine.
- Dryer running long on a heat pump model The condenser filter, which is a second filter people do not know exists.
Why the manufacturer matters
LG is known for the linear compressor and the direct-drive motor in ordinary kitchens. Those design decisions determine how the appliance fails, and therefore the order in which a refrigerator should be examined.
A technician who follows the same routine on every appliance will find the right part eventually, after replacing several wrong ones. That is a slow and expensive way to work, and the customer is the one who pays for it. Knowing the manufacturer narrows the diagnostics to a few measurements.
Parts and pricing
We fit genuine LG parts wherever they can still be sourced, and the ones that fail most often are carried on the van. If a part for an older appliance is no longer made, we will tell you and explain the alternatives rather than substituting something similar without mentioning it.
You are given the cost of the part and the cost of the labor as two separate lines, agreed before work begins and recorded on the invoice with the part number. Our labor is warranted for 30 days.
Have this ready when you call
The model number. On LG appliances it sits on the door frame, behind the kick plate or on the rear panel, depending on what you own. If the plate has worn, photograph it and send it to us; we can usually read what is left. Once the model is confirmed, the parts known to fail on that exact appliance are loaded before the van leaves Stonegate.
